A Lamp in the Dark

Dedicated to one of my favorite teachers and mentors,

who is always there to lend a helping hand,

or a gentle push, when needed.

A caring mentor, a guide with a vision;

She takes charges and leads ahead, uncaring about derision.

What may seem impossible for us, to her it seems naught,

for she has experience and foresight, to see through all action from thought.

Never stingy with advice is she, for she cares more than is needed to show;

to her no day is a sad day, only a mad day, cause you know she's a pro!

The one who understands us by putting herself in our shoes,

She's the reason we come to college and don't hit the button Snooze!
